At Formby Hall we are committed to a greener future and are passionate about setting sustainability targets that will benefit our resort, our people and our community for years to come.
Instillation of 90% of LED lighting across the resort -this simple ‘switch’ uses 75% less energy than traditional lighting.
Water efficient shower heads in all guest rooms reducing litres per minute to 8 (previously 16 litres per minute) and water efficient flushes on all toilets.
All of our food waste is collected by Refood who turn it into fuels and our cooking oils collected by Olleco are reused to create new cooking oils.
Community commitment, we’re incredibly proud to work with local food producers and businesses, with 90% of all food suppliers sourced within a 25-mile radius of the resort.
Electric golf buggies now use lithium batteries and run 36 holes on one charge.
Our Kitchen garden produces many different herbs and vegetables.
